Pertandingan Hoki MSSMKL Zon Keramat telah berlangsung hari ini. Keputusannya....

KITA LA JUARAAA......

mengalahkan sekolah-sekolah lain dengan 22 gol tiada berbalas. Tiada satu gol pun berjaya disumbat masuk oleh pasukan-pasukan lawan. Power sungguh penjaga gol kita. Siapa dia tu ya? Haa...nanti la tunggu Puan Rohaida sahkan.

KITA JUARA LAGIII....

First Lego Leaque Campionship telah berlangsung di Pusat Sains Negara hari ini. Pasukan kita yang terdiri daripada Wan Farahin, Fatihah Athira & Aiman Syahirah dimantapkan lagi dengan gabungan 3 orang murid lelaki dari SJKC Davidson telah berjaya menjadi JUARA, mengalahkan pasukan-pasukan lain antaranya pasukan dari VI, SMK CBN, SM Alam Shah, SM Sains Seri Puteri dan lain-lain pasukan yang hebat. Tapi ternyata KITA LAGI HEBAT!

Hadiah yang telah dimenangi :

1. Gold Award for overall performances
2. Best Robotic Performance
3. Best Team Work

Tahniah kepada mereka. Juga tahniah kepada tulang belakang pasukan, Pn. Wan Fatimah Ahmad. Tak sia-sia Kak Wan reka skrip sambil kunyah kacang. kARnIVal bOLA jArINg MSSMKL

Telah berlangsung selama 2 hari iaitu pada 28 dan 29 Februari 2008 bertempat di Pusat Kecemerlangan Sukan Cochrane. Sekolah kita merupakan pengelola karnival bagi Sekolah-sekolah Rendah Zon Keramat untuk tahun kedua ( 2007 & 2008 ). Pasukan sekolah telah berjaya menempah tempat ke peringkat suku akhir namun tewas di tangan pasukan SK Danau Kota sekaligus tidak melayakkan mereka untuk mara ke pusingan separuh akhir. Walau bagaimanapun, TAHNIAH diucapkan kepada ahli-ahli pasukan bola jaring sekolah di atas kesungguhan yang ditunjukkan oleh mereka. Ms Joaan kata, you all main jauh lebih baik dari tahun lepas. So, jangan sedih sangat ya...adat bertanding, ada yang kalah dan ada yang menang. Kita CUBA LAGI tahun hadapan.

Juara Karnival Bola Jaring Zon Keramat kategori bawah 12 tahun bagi tahun 2008 ialah

SK Danau Kota.

Di tempat kedua ialah SK Wangsa Jaya, Ketiga SK Convent 2 Bukit Nanas dan

Keempat SK Datuk Keramat 2. TAHNIAH kepada semua pasukan yang berjaya.

IT'S ONLY THE BEGINNING!

Hello everyone!

At last Sports Day is over and done with. If some of you are wondering why do I sound so relieved, here are some factors why the teachers are so glad Sports Day is over:

• no more staying back till evening to train the girls.
• no more cracking our heads for new routines for both gymnastraeda and marching.
• no more screaming our heads off at the kids like as if we have nothing else better to do.
• no more increasing hypertension.
• and most importantly, NO MORE SUNBURNS!
  

Some of us teachers look like roasted chicken; some look like overcooked prawns. I look like batwoman now. Without my spectacles, it's like I'm wearing a white eye mask over my burnt face! Help!

Okay kids! Time to get back to reality. Playtime's over, study time has kicked in, make sure all of you start polishing your brains and get your grades up to our expectations, alright.

Parents, if you think your nightmare is over and your children don't have to stay back in school anymore, you are so wrong!

Listed below are some of the upcoming competitions:

• NETBALL: 28th February 2008
• Our girls are looking good as they have improved tremendously compared to the beginning of the year.
• Today, we held a friendly match in school between teams THE SHORT STUDENTS and THE HAPPENIN' TEACHERS. Haha. I came up with the names myself. Sorry.
• Well... Who won? Between the team that consists of students (short ones) with less experience and the team that consists of netball coaches, gymrama coach, ex-basketball player, ex-netball players, I think you get the picture. ;)
• IT'S OKAY KIDS. THE BATTLE IS STILL ON! ARE YOU UP FOR IT?

• CHESS: 3-6th March 2008
• 3rd and 4th March - TEAM competition, represented by Nurul Aina Akmar, Siti Nadia, Wan Farahin and Ryhanna Roslan.
• 5th and 6th March - Individuals competition, represented by Nurul Aina Akmar, Siti Nadia, Ryhanna Roslan, Chan Jo Ann, Zarifah Ariff, Marsha, Chrystal Foo, Ann Marie Niap, Francesca Niap, Puteri Nur Liyana.

• ROBOTICS: 5th March 2008
• Represented by Nur Fatihah Athirah, Aiman and Wan Farahin.

• DIGI FU-YOH DRAMA COMPETITION: 5th March 2008
• First audition: this will determine whether we'll proceed to the finals or not.

• Pakcik is training the girls very hard and preparing them for victory.

Including the State Level English Language competitions, YES it's going to be several hectic months!

TEMASYA SUKAN TAHUNAN 2008

Biarpun terdengar sok-sek sok-sek komen sama ada yang sedap mahupun yang tak sedap didengar, akhirnya temasya sukan yang dinanti-nanti kehadirannya telah pun berakhir dengan penuh gemilang. Tahun ini padang kembali ceria dengan perhiasan khemah yang pelbagai. Kali ini hiasannya lebih meriah kerana diusahakan secara bersama oleh para ibu bapa warga CBN1. Bagi pihak Yang Berusaha Pn. Vimala, pihak pengurusan serta semua guru, saya mengucapkan ribuan malahan jutaan terima kasih di atas kerjasama, kesungguhan dan bantuan yang diberikan oleh semua yang terlibat. Kepada yang kurang membantu, tahun depan boleh tambah bantuan supaya lebih bertambah kemeriahannya. Tak gitu ?

Tahniah kepada juara-juara bertahan iaitu :

Ni Dia semua yang bertungkus lumus pada petang 22 Februari 2008, sehari sebelum temasya sukan tahunan sekolah berlangsung. Tahun ni memang best sebab nampak kesungguhan para ibu bapa nak menaikkan nama rumah masing-masing. Sedari petang dah berkampung kat padang tu. Pukul berapa balik malam tu ya?

DIGI mobile manners 2008

DIGI Mobile Company gave a short talk to our students on mobile manners. It was a fun and educational talk.

Students were given goodies from DIGI and were given chances to win more in short quizzes and games. Short skits were carried out and students were asked to guess which place is it that we are not allowed to use our mobile phones.

The DIGI Yellow Man appeared during the later part of the talk. He managed to entertain students and teachers with his comical acts.

MSSMKL Netball Clinic 2008

Our school is hosting the MSSMKL Netball Clinic 2008 today. Teachers and coaches from schools all over Kuala Lumpur were in invited to attend this clinic. Rules and regulations of the game were explained and basic netball training were introduced to the teachers.

This is to help teachers and coaches prepare the students for the upcoming MSSMKL Netball Competition on the 28th February 2008. GO CBN1!!

YEAR 6 INTERVENTION TEST

The Education Department of Kuala Lumpur has come up with an Intervention Test for all Year 6 students in the state. These tests are carried out simultaneously by all schools in Kuala Lumpur. We have begun our test today.

Pendaftaran Murid Tahun 1 bagi kemasukan 2009 sedang dibuka sehingga tarikh yang akan diumumkan.

2. salah satu utiliti bil( sebenar dan salinan ). Bil hendaklah beralamat yang sama dengan alamat dalam kad pengenalan anda. Jika menyewa, anda perlu membawa bersama-sama anda surat pengesahan bahawa anda merupakan penyewa rumah tersebut ( dengan tanda tangan tuan rumah ).
3. Salinan penyata gaji terkini suami dan isteri
4. Surat beranak anak ( sebenar dan salinan )
5. Sampul surat panjang bertingkap warna putih dengan setem 50 sen.
6. Jika anda mempunyai anak-anak yang bersekolah di sekolah yang berhampiran ( SMK Convent, SMK St John, SK. St John 1 & 2, SK Convent 2 ), sila bawa bersama surat pengesahan bahawa anak anda berada di sekolah tersebut. Surat boleh diperolehi dari pejabat sekolah-sekolah berkenaan.

* Sambutan Tahun Baru Cina.
* Pakaian bebas tetapi sopan, bersesuaian dengan tema sambutan .

22 Februari 2008 (Jumaat )
* Raptai penuh Sukan Tahunan Sekolah.
* Murid-murid perlu memakai t.shirt rumah sukan atau t.shirt putih kosong. Jika memakai t.shirt rumah, pastikan ada t.shirt rumah yang lain supaya boleh dipakai pada hari esok = hari sukan.

23 Februari 2008 (Sabtu )
* Temasya Sukan Tahunan Sekolah.

SAMBUTAN TAHUN BARU CINA

Sambutan Tahun Baru Cina akan diadakan pada 21 Februari 2008, Khamis minggu depan. Semua murid digalakkan memakai pakaian tradisi orang cina ( dari rumah ) untuk tujuan sambutan tersebut. Seperti biasa, pertunjukan TARIAN SINGA akan diadakan. Don't forget to bring the oranges ya!

STATE LEVEL ENGLISH ACTIVITIES COMING UP!

We've just received letters from the Education Department of KL.
State level English Language competitions are about to begin!!

Here are the competitions listed down:

• Story Telling
  
• Preliminary Round - March 2008
• State Level Finals - 10th May 2008
• National Level - 9th-12th June 2008, Selangor.
  
• One student is chosen from the upper primary to represent the school in this annual competition.
• Upper primary ranges from Years 4 - 6
• One must be able to express herself brilliantly in order to captivate the attention of the judges and enabling them to relate to the story told.
• Proper and CORRECT English must be used (pronounciation, inunciation, grammar, etc..)
  
• So parents, if you think your child has got what it takes to bring her audience along in a journey of fairy tales and adventures, kindly PROVE it to us. Hehe.
• Farah Amani bt Adbul Razak is a former student of SKCBN1 who was the only participant to walk away with both national level English Story Telling Champion and Johan Bercerita Bahasa Melayu. It's time to repeat history my friends!

• Public Speaking
• Preliminary Round - March 2008
  
• State Level Finals - 10th May 2008
• National Level - 12th-14th August 2008, Sabah.
  
• One student is chosen from the upper primary to represent the school in this annual competition.
• Upper primary ranges from Years 4 - 6
• Public Speaking is divided into two compulsory presentations; prepared speech and impromptu speech.
• Prepared speech: participants are to prepare a speech on a certain topic and elaborate on it.
  
• For example: Chocolate Is Good For You.
  
• The participant has to present facts and good reasoning in order to defend and elaborate on her topic.
• Impromptu speech: participants are given a topic on the spot and are given some time to brainstorm on the topic. They then have to present their speech.
• For example: topic given - HEROES.
• The participant brainstorms on what to say about the topic HEROES. It's very subjective so one can talk about superheroes, their parents, teachers, etc...

• Spelling Competition
• Preliminary Round - March
• State Level Finals - 10th May 2008
• National Level - 14th-16th October 2008, Putrajaya
• Two students are chosen from the upper primary to represent the school.
• This year will be the first time the Education Department is organizing this competition.
• Students are to spell words given by the Master Speller. Hesitation (errr, ahhh, umm) will cause the participant to be disqualified.
• Spellers can only spell the word ONCE. No correction is allowed.
• Spellers are encouraged to repeat the word given by the Master Speller, spell the word, and then say the word again.

• Action Song
• Preliminary Round - April 2008
• State Level Finals - 10th May 2008
• National Level - 9th-12th June, Selangor.
• At last, something for the little ones... ;)... 15 students are chosen from the LOWER primary, Years 1-3, to represent the school in this short musical.
• Each team is to present an English song with appropriate lyrics and grammar, with actions. The music must be a minus-1 track with NO VOCALS and time allocated is 5-8 minutes. Participants are required to sing the song themselves. Appropriate costumes and props are allowed.
• Performance has to emphasize on the usage of proper and correct English.

• Choral Speaking
• Preliminary Round - April 2008
• State Level Finals - 10th May 2008
• National Level - 14th-16th July 2008, Terengganu.
• 35 students are chosen from the upper primary to represent the school in this horrifying, yet exciting competition.
• The choral text must be originally written. Time allocated is 5-8 minutes.
• A conductor is chosen among the team members to lead and guide the others to recite the memorized text in unison.
  
• Every year schools from all over Malaysia will look forward to this annual competition, practicing their hearts out just to land themselves in National Level.
• SKCBN1 has been the defending state champion in this competition for 7 consecutive years and 2 years national choral speaking champion.
• Our former conductor, Aishah Ahmed bt Motawh, was given the National Level Best Conductor Award for 3 consecutive years.
• Let's pray that this year our girls will be able to uphold the glory of SKCBN1's CHORAL SPEAKING TEAM. ONE TEAM, ONE VOICE!

Sukan acara saringan dan akhir

Makluman kepada semua

Acara saringan dan akhir bagi Lontar Peluru, Lompat Jauh dan Lompat Tinggi akan diadakan pada Selasa 12 Februari 2008 bertempat di padang sekolah SK Convent 1 Bukit Nanas.

Bagi acara padang, peringkat saringan dan akhir akan di langsungkan pada hari Khamis 14 Februari 2008 bertempat di padang SMK St John.

* Untuk 12 dan 14hb, murid-murid tahap 1 tidak terlibat dengan acara akhir, maka jadual adalah seperti biasa. Murid-murid tahap 2, sila ikut jadual selepas rehat.

18 hingga 22 Februari raptai sukan akan diadakan. Semua murid tidak perlu membawa buku ke sekolah. Kalau nak bawak jugak, bawak la buku lepas rehat atau buku-buku yang diarahkan oleh guru-guru untuk dibawa atau dihantar.
